Zayne
Zayne is an experienced drummer and educator, resides in Melbourne, Australia, where he actively contributes to the local live music scene. Graduating from Monash University's Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance, he later pursued a Master of Teaching degree with a focus on music, completing it in 2024.
Zayne's musical versatility spans across genres such as Pop, Rock, RnB, Latin, and Jazz, and his expertise extends to diverse styles like orchestral, West-African, Cuban, and Indian Classical music. Jazz is his language, and rhythm is how he makes sense of the world.

Sharlene
Graduated from JMC Academy, major of composing and performance. Sharlene studied under renowned educator Master Wen-Kuang Zhang, gaining a broad perspective on diverse musical styles. Over the years, she has honed her drumming across various genres, actively participating in live performances, competitions, and RSL examinations.
With over a decade of teaching experience, she is dedicated to nurturing both technical skill and musicality. Her lessons integrate practical drumming with a strong foundation in jazz theory and technique, with a particular focus on rudiments and expressive performance.

Justin
Born in Hong Kong, Justin began engaging with music at the age of 6 across various instruments including piano, violin, trombone, and percussion. During secondary school, his passion and focus turned towards the drum kit. Since then, he has moved to Melbourne in order to pursue jazz drum performance at Monash University.
Justin has been under the guidance of internationally renowned drummers such as Tony Floyd and Alastair McGrath-Kerr. Justin has an extensive background as a performer, having played at venues including Paris Cat Jazz Club, Bunjil Place, Kingston City Hall, and Alexander Theatre.

Geryl
Geryl offers a unique teaching approach that is fast, intuitive, and easy to grasp—grounded in music theory yet simplified and adaptable to any style. He holds a Music Performance degree from Monash University and studied Music and Audio Technology at Singapore Polytechnic.
He has achieved Grade 8 in both Classical Music Theory and Classical Guitar through ABRSM, London. In 2022, Geryl was awarded the David Bornstein Jazz Guitar Prize by the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music. With experience teaching in both Australia and abroad, he brings a versatile and accessible approach to music education.

Steven
Based in Melbourne, Steven Zhang is a versatile drummer and multi-instrumentalist working across jazz, rock, funk, and pop. A graduate of the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Music (Jazz Performance, Distinction), he has studied under leading Australian musicians and taken private lessons from renowned drummer Benny Greb in Germany. He has performed at venues including the Sydney Opera House, Melbourne Recital Centre, and Paris Cat, and is a regular presence in local bands and festivals. With over six years of experience, he brings energy, adaptability, and a strong understanding of many musical styles to his teaching.

Chris
Chris, a passionate drummer currently studying at Monash University. With four years of experience teaching drums, bringing both expertise and enthusiasm to his lessons.
Chris was honored to receive third place in a drum competition in Taiwan.
Additionally, he is playing with bands in various jazz bars Melbourne.

Prosper
Prosper began his musical journey at age 3 with the violin and piano, then switched to drums and guitar in grade 4. He later decided to focus only on drums. He is currently studying for a Bachelor of Music at Monash University and has been mentored by prominent drummers including James Davies, Lewis Pierre, and Danny Fischer.
Prosper has performed in venues such as Hamer Hall, Melbourne Recital Centre, Paris Cat Jazz Club, and John Cain Arena as part of the Victorian State Schools Spectacular 2025. He has also toured Perth and Auckland. With four years of experience as an educator, Prosper brings versatility, positive energy, and deep knowledge of diverse musical genres.

Andre
Andre is a Melbourne-based electric and double bass teacher and performer. He graduated from Monash University in 2026 with a Bachelor of Music, majoring in Jazz Performance, and has studied with renowned bass educators from Australia and overseas. Since 2023 he has taught electric and double bass at St Andrews Christian College, helping students gain the skills and confidence to perform in classical and jazz ensembles and earn places in orchestras and jazz bands.
He has also coached in Ariane Capp's international online bass program. A versatile performer across jazz, pop, rock, and contemporary music, Andre has appeared at the Newport Jazz Festival and Castlemaine Jazz Festival with Early Birds.

Tony
Tony is a Melbourne jazz guitarist who began playing at the age of nine. He graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School in 2024 and is currently studying Jazz and Improvisation at the University of Melbourne. He has studied extensively with world-renowned guitarist Mike Moreno and leading Melbourne musicians including James Sherlock.
Since 2023 he has been a member of the Melbourne Youth Jazz Orchestra and performs around Melbourne at venues such as Uptown Jazz Cafe and Paris Cat Jazz Club. He placed second in the VCASS Outstanding Soloist Competition, becoming the first jazz guitarist in the school's history to receive the award, and was a finalist for the 2025 James Morrison Scholarship.
